Technology is ever changing, improving and surprises us when we least expect it. For a while now, I have been field testing the BUK OPS Buknoculars. Now, they are not classic binoculars by any means. They turn on via a button, zoom in via a button, zoom out with another button; you get the idea. I love new gear that incorporates new technology because I want to see how it will help current and future hunters.
First off, these were sent to me to T&E a year ago. I did not pay for them and I am not being paid for this review. This is my humble opinion based on my experience with the product.
These are perfect for hunting in a ground blind. It adds a little excitement when you are waiting for the sunrise or when you are ready to pack up!
- Primetime Color Vision (their language, not mine) is perfect for those low-light conditions like dawn and dusk. When your human eye cannot detect what’s out there in the early morning, the Buknoculars make it look like you are watching TV in the woods. This is the number one advantage for me.
- 1-5x Digital Zoom: 1-4X is great and the 5x looks like an optical zoom. It gets a little pixelated but works for the purpose of seeing what’s out there.
- 2.95inch HD Viewfinder: The screen is large enough to see without getting super close and the screen brightness is adjustable. In the early morning or dusk, I like to adjust it down to 10% so I can see the screen, but I am not blinded by light.
- 4K HD Video Recording: self-explanatory
- Battery Requirements: 4 AA Lithium Batteries
The buttons are quiet and are easy to access and manipulate.
I also found some things that could use improvement. The video review goes into more detail on what I felt are the pros and cons of utilizing the BUK OPS Buknoculars. Go watch it and leave a comment on the video letting me know what you think or if you have any questions on something I didn’t cover. Please enjoy!
