Attempt to Ban Bear Hunting in California

Stay sharp. The lawmakers in California are at it again. This time it is to ban bear hunting in California.

Looks like they want to simply flush money away as that is a solid source of revenue. More importantly, bears, like any any other animal, need to be regulated. I am guessing that the legislators haven’t taken a good look at mountain lions in California. Mountain lions, then bobcats, and now bears.

Read through the legislation and be prepared to speak your mind. Phone calls, snail mail, or show up in person to let them know why bears must be regulated, that we hunters pay good money every year, and that many of us walk away eating tag soup, but the State of California still collects that money.

How do you feel about it? Any insight from your perspective? What do our biologists say? Leave a comment below and let me know.
