Poking fun at myself comes naturally. I like to have a good laugh and I should be comfortable while doing it. Back in December, I started “field testing” the Red & Black Lumberjack Pajamaralls from Shinesty. Wearing them around my house and on Christmas Day around the neighborhood made for a relaxing, yet festive day. (Only thing missing was a red and black mask.)
Right out of the box, I knew these would be comfortable. The material isn’t fleece, but a nice 100% polyester that feels great. I threw them on in a few seconds and we had a good laugh, at my expense. After the giggles subsided, even my wife thought they looked great and the material had a nice feel.
The shoulder straps and legs straps come fully extended, so I did need to adjust accordingly. In about a minute, I adjusted the shoulder straps quite a bit to get them to fit properly. I didn’t adjust the leg straps. Not because I am gifted in the height department, but because the elastic at the ankles held them comfortably in place and I didn’t feel the need.
There are three buttons on each hip that can be undone, if you wanted a bit more room whilst putting them on. They undo and snap very easily, and there is plenty of hip room to walk comfortably and not ride up on you.
There is a large chest pocket that contains the surprise of a bottle opener. More laughs were had as I thought about cracking a cold one right before bed. I mean, they ARE pajamas, right? Alright, I am having a bit of fun with this, but the pajamaralls with bottle opener would be great for parties, festivals, and friendly gatherings. Trust me, they’d be a hit. You’d be the go-to person if they were serving bottles of tasty beverages. Maybe that front pocket is to keep all the bottle caps of the drinks you open for your buddies. I did find that I needed to adjust the shoulder straps a great deal to get the pocket to fit where it wasn’t bunched up in front. I mention this because I’m slightly barrel chested and normally this doesn’t happen to me.
The Red & Black Lumberjack Pajamaralls from Shinesty retail for $84.99 on the Shinesty website. Plus, they have a plethora of other designs to choose from for men and women. If these were going to be worn often and you had the money, I think these are very comfortable and fitting for different occasions. I will wear these during the holidays and probably to some of our outdoor music festivals to get a good laugh and be comfortable. I’m sure these would go great with cowboy boots!
