Hiking in the backcountry is great. Hauling out an elk is tough and having solid trekking poles in a must. I am looking at upgrading to a new pair of trekking poles for two reasons; (1) I want to go to straight carbon poles and (2) I need something solid that will deploy easily and hold up my large frame and a meat cache.
I am looking for any and all advice on trekking poles! Leave a comment or send me an email. Your opinion matters as I have experience with only one set of trekking poles.
