If you choose to participate, you will need to fill out the form at the bottom of the website. Information from the website is below.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Forest Service, and Society for the Conservation of Bighorn Sheep are pleased to announce the 2020 San Gabriel Mountains bighorn sheep survey. We will conduct a volunteer ground survey March 1st, with a mandatory orientation at 6:00 PM February 29th, at the Angeles National Forest Supervisors Office in Arcadia. Your efforts have enabled us to track the growth of this unique population of majestic bighorn sheep for over 30 years.
Check out a map with the various areas that need surveyors. This gives you a better idea of the area you’d like to help glass.! With snow this year, it will be a great experience!
