Why do some of us wait so long to apply for hunts? With me, I wasn’t so sure I was going to apply in Colorado, but I felt the pull of hunting mule deer with my bow. Sure, I waited until the last day with hours to spare, but I did apply. If I draw, great! If not, I figure I can always opt to go hunt elk with an OTC archery or rifle tag later in the year, but I really like hunting with a bow. I also really want to hunt in September for mule deer. It’ll be warm and tough, but it’s all part of the challenge, right?
As a reminder, Colorado primary draw applications are due April 5 by 8:00 PM MT – so get on it!
